Exceptional Consulting Inc. is owned and operated by Sandra Werle, a special educator and parent of a child with complex needs. The company's mandate is to equip parents of children wtih special needs with the information and tools they require to perform their jobs to the best of their abilities.

Sandra received her professional training from the University of Saskatchewan, Canada. She holds a Master’s degree in Education, in the area of Special Education and Psychology, with an emphasis on behavioral disorders. Sandra has been employed as a regular classroom teacher, a learning resource teacher, and a special educator. She has had the privilege of working with students from ages two to twenty-two, in a variety of settings.

Sandra is a co-author and editor of the book Adult Life with Autism Spectrum Disorder: A Self-Help Guide, published by Autism Calgary Association. She has also completed various contract-writing projects and delivered workshops to parents on a variety of topics. Through her business, Exceptional Consulting Inc., she offers project-based workshops in relation to her book, My Child My Business: Organizational and Management Skills for Parents of Children with Special Needs.

Currently, Sandra also works on contract for The Children’s Link Society, a non-profit organization in Alberta, Canada. The agency serves as an information and referral source for parents of children and young adults with special needs.

On a personal note, Sandra has one son who has complex needs. His early entrance into this world changed her life in many significant ways. Many of the tips Sandra shares with others, through her book and at her workshops, have grown directly out of her experiences in managing the care of her own child.
